    Career Description:

    The role of the Desktop Computer Support is to identify and resolve issues, IT related onboarding of new personnel, and providing software and hardware support for the internal Tecnova team.

    Scope:

    Tecnova’s network infrastructure consists of Virtualized Servers and ~100 desktop computers.

    Technologies:

    • Computer, network operations and maintenance
    • Microsoft Windows 10
    • Microsoft Windows Server 2016 / 2019
    • Microsoft Office Applications
    • VMWare ESXI, Veeam Backup & Replication
    • Cisco networking

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for Windows workstations, various peripherals, and VOIP phones
    • Perform hardware and software installation, upgrades and configuration
    • Support corporate audio/visual equipment
    • Administer facility security badge access system
    • Create and update all necessary installation and configuration documentation as it relates to deploying and maintaining the PC environment
    • Perform & maintain routine backups of servers
    • Adhere to company procedures for hardware/software requests and installs
    • Provide problem diagnosis and resolution for hardware and software problems
    • Install all peripheral components such as printers, scanners, phones and disk drives
    • Answer inbound technical support calls and emails for internal team members
    • Provide telephone, in-person, and remote support to end-users
    • Coordinate activities with other departments as needed
    • Troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity issues
    • Provide accurate and timely logging of problems
    • Work with vendor, software provider, and manufacturer support as needed
    • Image new and existing desktop systems
    • Maintain proper inventory of corporate assets
    • Provide updates, status information, and completion information to manager and/or users as needed
    • Escalate issues as needed

    Requirements:

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Associates degree (minimum)
    • 2+ years of experience in a desktop administration role
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
    • Ability to interact directly with team members and work independently
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills
    • Excellent attention to detail, organized and self-motivated
    • Flexible and adaptive to change

    Additional Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry computers and monitors
    • Adherence to strict non-disclosure requirements to maintain confidentiality of customer solutions
    • On-site position with negligible travel
