The ZigRay™HCM (Host Communication Module) accepts the ZigRay™ 802.15.4 wireless transceiver, offers RS-232, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet connectivity, and data logging.

Ethernet connectivity is provided via an RJ-45 connector. In addition, interface ports are provided for RS-232, RS-485, TTL, and USB. Since these ports share the same internal serial channel, only one port can be active at a time.

The ZigRay™ HCM can act as a web server, allowing Ethernet communications from a standard web browser. The RS-485 communications supports Modbus™

For data logging applications, a real time clock (RTC) and non-volatile FLASH memory are available. The FLASH memory is available in 1, 2, or 4M byte configurations.

The ZigRay™ HCM requires an external 5 - 6 VDC power supply, and is available with or without an enclosure. It can be used standalone, or easily integrated into an OEM product.
