    Career Description:

    Tecnova Electronics is seeking an experienced Master Scheduler who is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of production lines in regards to product demands, plant capacity, customer orders and inventory goals The Master Schedule includes planned production and new product development work. One would be responsible for establishing appropriate Work in Process and Finished Goods inventory levels to optimize working capital; mitigate material outages; and maintain continuous production flow.

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and maintain a Master Production Schedule.Identify gaps and drive solutions to streamline and automate the scheduling process.
    • Establish and implement new processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the planning department.
    • Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times.
    • Create and maintain weekly and monthly reports to communicate master production schedule performance and reporting of key metrics.
    • Develop capacity planning tools to determine if production will be constrained in future periods; level load the production plan, and identify potential corrective actions such as: working overtime, assessing equipment, outsourcing and/or expediting.
    • Oversee SMT Schedule; work with Production Supervisor to ensure alignment.
    • Work with the Engineering to ensure capacities are accurately represented in the system.
    • Work with Management to ensure proper balance of service, inventory, and costs on the produced items.
    • Maintain finished goods inventory for designated products at target levels to ensure high service levels, i.e. product availability.
    • Ensure coordination with Production and Management to execute Production Plan on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
    • Host and support daily production meetings to review performance against schedule.
    • Integrate with production team to determine the needs and constraints of the manufacturing factory through engagement with functional groups, and schedule work orders accordingly.
    • Complies with quality procedures and guidelines.
    • Completes special projects and compiles special reports as required.
    • Train and provide daily work direction to planners.
    • Additional duties as required.

    Requirements:

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Requires Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
    • Requires minimum of 10 years’ experience production planning in a manufacturing environment.
    • Thorough knowledge of PCBA manufacturing preferred
    • Experience with electronics manufacturing preferred
    • Experience in contract manufacturing a plus
    • Thorough understanding of MPS systems, CTP systems and MRP systems is required
    • Experience implementing MRP systems a plus
    • Thorough understanding of capacity planning required
    • Current APICS or ISM Certification a plus
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with heavy emphasis on Excel required
    • Advanced Excel skills are required
    • Ability to read a multilevel BOM, drawings, and specifications is required
    • Familiarity with outside processing required
    • Understanding of PPAP and firm fixed planning required
    • Excellent organizational skills, problem solving techniques, and accuracy are essential
    • Excellent math and deductive skills key
    • Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus
    • Experience leading SIOP meetings a plus
